FyreJacket® 1610 is a thick wall braided fiberglass sleeve coated with silicone rubber that provides thermal protection. FyreJacket 1610 is used to protect hoses, lines and cables in high temperature areas. It additionally provides protection against short-term hazards such as flame blasts. When burn-through is a threat, the specially designed sleeve construction retards the penetration of the flame. This can allow critical components to continue to function for a short amount of time.
In addition to protecting assemblies and components from high temperatures and flame, FyreJacket 1610 can be used to insulate lines and cables. This type of insulation protects external components from heat while often increasing the efficiency of the internal components.
The braided construction of FyreJacket 1610 allows excellent flexibility in temperatures as low as -60°C (-76°F). The silicone coating is highly resistant to a wide range of solvents and fluids.
