ReflectShield® 1805 is a woven fiberglass fabric that has an aluminum foil laminated to its outer surface and a pressure sensitive adhesive on its inner surface. The unique, multi-polymer adhesive exhibits high adhesion to low surface energy plastics such as HDPE, polypropylene and gas filled polypropylene. It has been designed to show very good adhesion properties also after heat ageing and fluid projections.
ReflectShield 1805 provides superior protection from radiant heat for plastic components and areas where a self-adhering, thermal protection system is required. ReflectShield 1805 can also be applied to metal heat shields to increase their thermal performance and slit to custom widths and lengths or die-cut
to complex geometric shapes. is a highly flexible reflective shield constructed of a fiberglass substrate laminated with aluminum foil to provide superior thermal protection for a variety of different applications.
The low bulk woven fiberglass structure, treated with a high temperature coating for fray resistance, and the thin integrated foil create a highly flexible material that can be delivered flat and formed during installation.
